A new live-action Resident Evil series is coming to Netflix this Summer, they just announced with three teaser posters to promote it.
The show takes place in the year 2036, 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse and follows Albert Wesker’s daughter Jade through a world overrun by blood-thirsty zombies and various creatures. Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, her father’s connections to Umbrella Corp. and what happened to her sister, Billie.
The show stars Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, with Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nuñez starring alongside him. Additional casting includes Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery. The series is from showrunner Andrew Dabb, who executive produces and writes.
This will be Netflix’s second go at the Resident Evil franchise, the first being the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, which debuted in July 2021 and starred video game voice actors Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello.
Netflix also unveiled three teaser posters which can be seen below. The series is set to premiere July 14.
